A place for anyone and everyone.

Overview

Family Youth Innovations Plus (FYI+) implements responsive, meaningful and sustainable community-based solutions that improve the health, safety, and well-being of members in our community. They offer a range of innovative programs and services by professionals who utilize evidence-based and trauma-informed practices for individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance abuse conditions. They are dedicated to ensuring everyone gets the care they need, including individuals from underserved populations, such as those who identify as LGBTQ+, systems-involved youth, veterans, and others.

the challenge

In 2021, the agency realized that the needs of their community were changing. More people and organizations relied on their services and programs because of their commitment to quality care delivered with a people-focused approach. They decided to rebrand from FYI to FYI+ because it better represented their commitment to innovation and adaptability, and provided them with a broader variety of resources that better served the needs of the community. NMCO Studio was hired to help FYI+ communicate their changes and benefits to new and existing clients. They did not want to lose the trust and loyalty of individuals and groups who already relied on their agency, but needed to effectively and efficiently communicate how their new services would benefit the community.

the solution

Through an extensive and thorough discovery process, NMCO Studio collaborated with the FYI+ team to develop a visual language for the agency that paid homage to their original branding, but refined and modernized to better represent FYI+’s dedication to providing innovative, community-focused services and programs. By working closely with NMCO’s talented design and graphic department, I developed scripts and presented project concepts that captured the ethos of the agency by showcasing how integral FYI+ is to the community. Because without their essential programs and services, participants in their programs would not have access to resources that have a positive impact on their lives and well-being.
